As usual this was held at our club rooms on the third Wednesday of the month. After the formal part of the meeting those present took part in a blind German lager tasting that had been organised by David. This was very interesting with personal preferences showing when the best on offer was chosen. Considerable differences in character in each was apparent. It was noted that the Hofbrau was sweetish with moderate hop while in contrast the Bitberger was dry with solid hop. The Kromberger Pils was malty and low in hop while the Kromberger Dark was sweet with soft low hop.

The meeting was advised on early arrangements for running the National Competitions over October 16, 17, 18th 2015. The Angus Inn has been booked and all activities will be based there. The Inn is offering motel rooms at a special rate for this function.

The raffle was drawn during the Point Cup judging was taking place and Maurice was the lucky winner. Only one medal was won this month and that was David winning Bronze for his Dark Ale.
