Our monthly meeting started with the Chairman thanking the whole club for all the work and help before and during the 20th National competitions and social weekend. Those not at the dinner were presented with their medals and certificates. It was great to see new members featuring in the awards. June thanked all those who helped her with the welcome parcels that were put into the motels. Financially we broke about even after paying a small donation to the judges from out of town.

Our Christmas function is to be held at our clubrooms and will involve members bringing a plate of nibbles and social drinks. There will be no competitions but there may be a raffle.

The raffle, won by yours truly, was a bottle of Mai Mai Creek Syrah.

As our speaker failed to show we got on with the points cup judging which was sizeable as it carried last month’s classes as well as this month’s ones.

Results are: Sparkling Wine, Silver to Bob; Port; Bronze to Norm; Draught Cider, Bronze to Brian; Light Beer, Bronze to David; Pilsner, Bronze to Brian; Dry Stout, Bronze to Graham; Strong Ale, Bronze to Conrad; Specialty Beer, Bronze to Nigel. Congratulations to all medal winners.
