The Avis’s hosted our annual BBQ where we host members of the Central Hawkes Bay Winemakers and Brewers Club. A large contingent from their club attended and both clubs enjoyed a social get together of drinks and nibbles. This was followed by a BBQ meal of sausages and patties along with salads etc.

Prior to the meal a competition for “Delorus” ( an image of the perfect woman as seen by its creator!) was completed, which is contested for between the two clubs twice a year. This time it was for the most interesting and unusual drink which covered all aspects of refreshments. The winner was Clark of CHB with his beetroot beer. Not a bad drop. Clark also won the raffle.

We thank our hosts for making their property available and to those who manned the BBQ.
